The GVH-5KW uses an axial flux coreless outer-rotor disc PMG — direct drive, no gearbox. Removing the iron core eliminates cogging torque and magnetic drag entirely, bringing start torque below 1 N·m. The turbine begins generating at wind speeds where conventional iron-core generators are still overcoming internal resistance. With no iron-core cogging there is no vibration at the source, and noise remains low across the operating range. The coreless structure delivers a power-to-weight ratio significantly higher than conventional motor-type alternators, with a design life 8× longer.
Most commercial and industrial solar systems in Pakistan are under-generating for at least half of every 24-hour period — at night, in overcast conditions and during the morning and evening peaks when loads are highest but solar output is low. The GVH-5KW is designed to fill exactly that gap.
The GVH-5KW connects to your existing battery bank via an MPPT wind charge controller — the same concept as your solar charge controller, but for wind. Your batteries now receive charge from two independent sources. When solar generation is zero, wind generation continues. The result is a more consistently charged battery bank and fewer hours running on generator.
If your existing solar system is grid-tied, the GVH-5KW connects through an on-grid wind controller and grid-tie inverter, feeding generated units directly into your facility consumption at the same time as your solar system. Both sources offset grid import simultaneously. There is no conflict between the two — each operates on its own control path to the same inverter bus.
The most complete integration: solar panels and the GVH-5KW both feed into a hybrid inverter (such as Deye or similar) alongside a BESS. The system charges batteries from whichever source is available, dispatches to load on priority, and exports surplus to grid. Wind at night charges the BESS for morning peak load. Solar during the day covers generation and tops up storage. The two sources are complementary by nature.
Connecting the GVH-5KW to an existing solar system requires a wind charge controller or on-grid wind controller matched to the turbine output voltage, and in a hybrid setup, a hybrid inverter with a dedicated wind input or DC coupling. Charania Renewables scopes the full integration — controller selection, battery sizing, inverter compatibility and wiring design — as part of our standard assessment. No guesswork on compatibility.
At 670 kg the GVH-5KW requires a structural assessment before rooftop installation. Where the roof can carry the load — or where a rooftop-mounted frame is engineered — it delivers 5 kW at rated wind and continues generating through the night alongside a rooftop solar array.
10 m tower supplied as standard. The GVH-5KW on a ground mount at an industrial estate gives open exposure and maximum generation. Civil foundation scope is specified to your site conditions. Ground mount avoids rooftop structural requirements entirely.
Sized as the wind generation layer in a hybrid architecture. At 5 kW rated output it contributes meaningfully to a medium-sized C&I load profile. Works alongside a solar array and BESS to produce a combined generation curve with fewer zero-output hours across a full 24-hour cycle.
